Unwavering Faith

Hi! I am Abigail Carnegie and I was inspired to write this blog by the Holy Spirit. I have been on a long journey and I have had an unsatisfied quest to discover my next move from God. I recently took a leap of faith where God allowed my husband and I to move from our comfort zone of living in New Jersey with family and friends to Florida where our only source of assistance and provision would come from God Himself.

It has been approximately 2 months since we moved here to Florida and thus far, I can proclaim that God is a true provider, he never wavers on His promises, His Word is true and thus my “Faith is Un-Wavered in the midst of any Storm”.

Speaking of storm, Florida is currently preparing and bracing for one of the most powerful hurricanes “Hurricane Irma” to hit this weekend. Irma’s projection for a direct hit to Florida has placed many individuals in a position of uncertainty, especially in light of Texas’s current situation resulting from the fierce destruction of Hurricane Harvey. Though the Storms of life, whether it be the natural phenomenon ‘like Hurricane Irma’ or just the seemingly unbearable challenges in our everyday lives, I want to encourage you to remain un-wavered in your faith. Whether the storms of life were projected to occur or just a sudden hit in your life, remember who is Lord over the heavens and the earth. Our un-wavered says yes Lord, I Trust you. Do you trust Him to work out every intricate detail of your life? or do you feel the need to be in control?

St. Luke 8 verses 23 to 25 provides a great reference of Faith in the midst of your Storm. 23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

Rest assured that your Father will never retreat on His Word. I encourage you to not only verbally say “I trust you Lord”, but wholeheartedly place all your burdens, challenges, uncertainties, and every aspect of your life in His hands and leave it there. Jesus cares for you. He loves you and wants you to trust Him with an un-wavered faith. I challenge you today, to extend your faith and live life victoriously as the Lord fulfills His plan for your life.

Prayer:                                                                                                                                                      Lord, Forgive me for my wavered faith at times. I give you every aspect of my life and I trust that you will work out every concern and pull me closer to you as I seek you wholeheartedly in Jesus name. Amen.

    • You’re right. It’s certainly not easy… however as you begin to let go it and trust completely, it may feel uncomfortable at first but then you realize He is right there with you and all is indeed working out. It’s imperative that we realize that we don’t have all the answers and that God in all his might understands our very path as the master architect. God really loves you and He has your best interest. All will be well🤗.

    • Amen Pastor. To God be the Glory. I understand what you mean because I always loved to control things myself and make it happen myself. However, as you said- when you trust God more, your purpose became more clear and now the doors are swinging open. I love love Deuteronomy 28 : 1-14 because it speaks of all the blessings that will overtake the person who listen to God’s voice and obeys. Love you pastor Keisha 😃
