As children of the Most High God, we can enjoy peace through any storm. Our faith is anchored in the Word of God and as a result, we have the liberty to face any storm through Christ Jesus. When Jesus becomes our only source, we have a natural tendency to seek Him first; our never failing GPS. In doing so, we are guaranteed that His plan will take effect, His purpose for our lives will prevail and we will grow to reflect the character of Jesus Christ.
In the gospel of Matthew, chapter 6 and verse 33:
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
we are encouraged to seek, or in other words, actively look to God first and everything else we may be concerned about will be taken care of by our Father.
‘I remember when planning to move to Jacksonville- Florida, we weren’t certain when we would leave New Jersey, how we would arrive, how we would pay the rent, where our income would come from, but we trusted God that He would take care of it.’ We knew God was leading us to move there, however the exact details of how everything would occur was non-existent. As a matter of fact, the only thing we knew to do was to trust in God. We trusted in God and put faith into action. We moved into our apartment in one of the best neighborhoods in Florida with only $200, we were both offered about four different jobs at least, we had more than enough food, we had more than enough support from family, we were blessed beyond measure as we continued to seek God first.
Be encouraged, the will of God will NEVER take you somewhere, where the PROVISION has not already been made. Trust in His Holy Word and you will reap from good soil. Here are a few reminders for you:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Continue to look up… ” He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
To God be the Glory.
