As I wrote this title, I can’t help but reflect on the three Hebrews boys who were thrown into Fire, and came out un-burned. It’s a miracle! What a God! Who is that Mighty God?! It’s the same God yesterday, today and forevermore. THE I AM THAT I AM, THE PRINCE OF PEACE, THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD. He is never slack concerning His promises and honors His Words at all times.
St. John 16:33 reminds us what Jesus said,
“These things have I spoken unto you, so that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
Yes, we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior. Yes, we have to take up our cross and follow Him. Yes, we will have tribulation in this world. Yes, sometimes we wish we didn’t have to go through it. However, I’m here to encourage you to anchor your trust in Him just a little deeper because even though you have been going through the fire (tribulations of this world), our Lord reminded us that He has overcome the world.
There is absolutely nothing that can conquer us, as long as we are rooted in Him. This is also true, as long as we are in this world, we will face tribulations, but because we are born of God, WE ARE OVERCOMERS. Yes, it hurts – yes, the pain radiates through our mind, our body, our soul and our heart and yes, we may sometimes feel like God’s absent in our life, but He’s saying I will never leave you nor forsake you. Do you trust me?
He reminds us in Isaiah 59:19 that,
‘When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.’
DECLARE IT: I AM AN OVERCOMER. I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR. EVEN THOUGH I GO THROUGH THE FIRE, IT’S WORKING TOGETHER FOR MY GOOD AND I WILL NOT BE BURNED, FOR IT’S AN INTEGRAL PART OF MY PURPOSE.
You have been called for such a time as this to be an instrument, a mouthpiece, a living testimony, a messenger, an evangelist – you have been called and chosen to fulfill a purpose in the capacity He has ordained. The FIRE experiences were designed to build and prepare you for this role. They are not meant to devour you. Be strengthened in Christ and run this race with endurance, faith, courage mingled with the Word of God.
Phillipians 1:6 encourages us,
‘Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:’
Your FIRE has PURPOSE. The Lord will faithfully complete His work through you as you avail yourself to Him. He will keep you as you continue to trust Him. His plans, His thoughts and His purpose for you will prevail.
In closing, think on these words:
That the trial of your faith, much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:7
Have a blessed day.
